Children's waiting room: How and why should you create a Kids-Friendly space?
Children's waiting room
Whether you are a doctor, pediatrician, dentist, speech therapist, osteopath or physiotherapist, you welcome parents and their children into your practice.
Setting up a waiting room is an important step: and you can make the wait pleasant for your young patients and their parents!
It is important, for the well-being of your patients, to welcome them in good conditions.
Indeed, children may be stressed in unfamiliar places.
Some parents do not like to see their children playing with the plastic toys present in some waiting rooms, because very often they are put in the mouths of toddlers, which is not hygienic. The parent must sometimes anticipate and bring with them books and / or toys of their child to occupy them and reassure them...
But we have a nice solution for you?!

Children's waiting room: A kids-friendly atmosphere
Properly arranging your waiting room will therefore have several objectives:
- Reassuring toddlers with a kid-friendly atmosphere,
- To bring serenity to parents,
- Finally, to give a good image, or even a good firstimpression , of your firm
So no more checkout counters with plastic toys from the 90s, or electronic games in poor condition, scattered around the room and having to be put away at the end of the day. Especially since some patients may be disturbed by these noisy games.
A "Kids Friendly" space is a place where children will feel at home. This will help them be more relaxed during consultations.
But then, how can you create an environment that is as pleasant for children as it is for parents, in keeping with your firm's image?
A drawing table with Scandinavian design: 2 versions available depending on the dedicated space
In addition to chairs specifically designed for a reception area, we will also opt for furniture intended for children.
Furniture adapted to their height, available for toddlers and adults alike.
The Drawin'table is a multifunctional birch wood drawing table designed at a child's height. It is particularly suitable for children aged 2 to 6 years (or even older!).
With a height of 48 cm, the table is available and is intended to be reassuring: the child immediately understands that this piece of furniture is reserved for him. Instinctively, he will take a seat on one of the stools, and pick up a colored pencil to color.
We talk about us
Our wooden drawing table visually attracts children, thanks to its round and inviting shape, and its unique design.
The Scandinavian design of the Drawin'table fits into any style: contemporary, designer, classic!
Coloring activities are essential for a child's healthy development. Drawing and coloring are timeless activities ! They allow children to develop their imagination and concentration skills.
And look at the pride in a child's eyes when he shows his work to his parents!
Moreover, it is a calm activity, particularly suited to rest areas or waiting rooms.
Pastels, colored pencils, felt-tip pens, chalk or even whiteboards: it's a whole range of accessories that children can use on the coloring table.
The Drawin'table offers several supports:
- A reversible board, chalk side / whiteboard side : let your imagination run wild, create, and then erase! And start again…
- White or themed sheets : Colour cartoon characters or beautiful nature or animal colourings! There is something for everyone.
- Eco-friendly and Waste-Reducing : Thanks to the thickness of the paper (200gsm), children can draw and color on both sides without any risk of bleed-through. Our paper is PEFC certified (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification), meaning it comes from sustainably managed forests and controlled sources.
Unique know-how
Drawin'table as well as stools are made in Latvia. We are proud to work a factory, family, which has put its know-how but also its skills to develop the Drawin'table and its ingenious system. Thus the Drawin'table goes up without nails or screws. The wood that we have selected for production is a birch wood, of premium quality.
Standards
All of our furniture complies with the safety requirements for children's furniture: NF EN 71-3 and NF D60-300.
An eco-responsible commitment…
The sheets are printed in France near the Drawin'kids warehouse, near Nantes. All our sheets are PEFC certified, the paper comes from sustainably managed forests.
…and united!
As part of a CSR commitment, the sheets are then boxed by the ESAT (Establishment and Service for Assistance through Work) in Blain (44). It was essential for us to contribute to the fight against discrimination and exclusion of people with disabilities.
